 Sales Consultant 

 

JOB CONTEXT:
• The Sales Consultant will work in a professional and comfortable work environment where the core focus is on learning, growth, knowledge sharing, teamwork and collaboration.
• The Sales Consultant will identify opportunities for new business and participate in sales campaigns to win the business – must be a hunter not a farmer.
• The Sales Consultant must monitor customer satisfaction.
• There will be some requirement for Account Management functions but the core of the role will be New Business Sales.
• The Sales Consultant should preferably be established within the industry.
• The Sales Consultant must be willing to do business travel to customer sites as per business requirements.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
1. Customer Relations.
2. Documentation skills, i.e. the standard and quality of documents.
3. Achievement of quarterly sales targets within specified accounts and new business.
4. Overall customer satisfaction with the services the company supplies to the customer.
5. The ability to solve problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required (not-negotiable):
• Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Matric)
Advantageous (nice to have):
• A relevant university degree or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of the Mobile environment.

EXPERIENCE:

Required (not-negotiable):
• Experience in the Mobile environment.
• Proven experience in SMS sales.
• Proven experience with volume sales in the SMS environment.

Advantageous (nice to have):
• Sales experience in solution SMS sales in addition to bulk-SMS sales.
